Jordan School District requires all employees and volunteers with unsupervised access to students to be fingerprinted for criminal background checks at the Jordan School District Office. At Butterfield Canyon Elementary, we are committed to providing a safe and secure educational and working environment for students and employees.
Please visit the District Office at your earliest convenience to be fingerprinted at no cost to you. The fingerprinting process will take approximately 30 minutes of your time and can be done between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm. The address is 7387 Campus View Drive in West Jordan. Please note:
1. All Learning Link Representatives must be fingerprinted.
2. Volunteers that are not registered with the District having successfully completed the fingerprinting process will be unable to accompany students on field trips.
3. Volunteers that are not registered with the District having successfully completed the fingerprinting process will be unable to assist students without supervision. These volunteers are welcome to volunteer within the classroom, but will be unable to remove students from the classroom for tutoring, etc.
4. Unfortunately, at this time background checks through other agencies and organizations do not fulfill this requirement. If you have not been fingerprinted through the Jordan School District, you must do so in order to volunteer for field trips or to volunteer unsupervised with students at Butterfield Canyon.
5. Once completed, your status will remain valid for five (5) years.
